Bad couple of days for Kerry

Kerry's running mate selection is a disaster, first a dead-cat bounce as Hugh Hewitt pointed out, then all kinds of comparisons to Bush I's choice of Mr. Potatoe-head in 1992. Now it may be worrying Kerry that his running-mate is only dramatizing how charisma-challenged the main contender is, even as Edwards confuses voters by sounding just as convinced and persuasive today saying the opposite of many things he was saying before his own candidacy sputtered out.
