Allahpundit at Hotair is still fighting a rearguard campaign against Romney. My comment:

I’m getting fed up with this attitude that Romney is as bad as Obama. That is just asinine. You’re trying to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy. You’ve ginned up so much hatred that every nit-picking criticism gets amplified and everything he says right gets ignored. If this keeps up and the GOP loses, I’m done with the Tea Party, because this is not what it was about to divide the GOP and assure Obama another term. The election does not occur in the conservative echo chamber. With the press in the tank for Obama, if anything it occurs in a liberal one. So Mitt Romney is not your tailor-made candidate? It’s a good thing, because nobody as easy to bash as Sarah Palin or Rick Santorum could get elected. Either would be fine with me, but I don’t think either could get elected or work well with Congress. Mitt Romney is an ideal candidate to do the job ahead of cutting government and spending, and the distrust is just childish. Calling him the worst possible nominee and a liar are the artifacts of a tough primary that wasn’t in the cards for anyone else from the outset. It demonstrates that you can’t win a national contest with a pickup campaign. Newt and Rick had a Cinderella plan, but it didn’t work because they couldn’t match his fundraising and organization. It had nothing to do with his being corrupt or dishonest. GET OVER IT!

I'm as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs about this election, mostly because of this lemming-like attitude from those who are impatient with the GOP.
