Calling Mr. Calchas

I was reading the Iliad yesterday, and noticed the name of Calchas, a famed augur, or interpreter of signs and omens, especially from reading birds' entrails and flight patterns. So when this story came up in the news, it just seemed obvious.

To be a modern augur, however, you probably have to rely on computer models.
