Rules are for little people

Especially taxes, apparently. We really ought to make Congress and members of the administration personally liable for all deficits, and establish some objective criteria to be met before taxes can be increased.

OK, that needs to be thought through, but something needs to be done to stop people from spending more money that the nation can afford.
