Poor Huckabee. He's a victim, so we should vote for him? He says nothing about his ability or experience, just that he didn't got to Harvard. Who cares?

Commitment to the Constitution

Obama is being advised to push his agenda through executive orders, bypassing Congress.

The Democrats in a funk.
"I hope President Obama, who's intensely intelligent, understands that he needs to ... stand tall, stand hard, stand tough," the Nation's editor Katrina vanden Heuvel said recently. "It about morality, principle, good policy, good politics to stand tall on these Bush tax cuts."
Morality demands that he allow taxes to rise during a recession? Maybe Obama has realized that those on the far left are too rigid to work with.

I've been reading a novel by Alastair Reynolds in which one of the characters is a hyperpig, a race produced by gene splicing. There isn't much of a description, but I think the refusal of the Senate to ban earmarks provides a pretty good idea of what hyperpigs would look like.

The most unkindest cut of all.And yet richly deserved. Carter was only inept. Obama is perversely so.
